Exciting news, you guys! Thanks to USSA, you can now watch all of our races at World Champs! Follow along as we start the races this Thursday in Lahti, Finland. We’ve been working so hard towards these races since May (and, to be honest, for the last 5 years because it takes that long to build up fitness!) and I’m super excited to get these races underway!
Here’s how you can watch: Each day of the Championships, NBCsports.com will provide live streaming with full same-day event coverage of each medal competition on either NBCSN or Universal HD. Check out the schedule below for times (and so you know what we’re racing each day)!
I’m really sorry – I realize that many of these events take place in the middle of the night! But, that’s why there is the TV broadcast option for you to watch later!

Last weekend it was great to get back to racing the World Cups again in Estonia. After a 3 week break I was feeling antsy to go again! My plan was to just race the sprint and then make sure that going into World Champs I’m super, super rested up since I’d like to do quite a bit of racing in the next 2 weeks.
The skate sprint went well for me – making it to the finals consistently is a goal I’ve been working hard towards and it was great to set my sights high on the day! We had totally awesome skis and it’s so important to thank the service team because it takes such a huge team of people to carry the small team of racers!
Which made the tech team sprints the night before so fun to see! Finally, a race where all our service team gets to shine! These are held every couple years when we race in Estonia and it’s always my favorite event of the year to see.
They’re at night under the bright stadium lights, and each country gets to enter one team of 3, and each person skis 2 laps total of the 600 meter course (usually it’s half of the sprint course). The tag zone is always total chaos and this year didn’t disappoint, but the real standout for us was seeing Andrew Morehouse, Tim Baucom and our wax tech Oleg Ragilo’s son, Frank, race around the course.
Now we’re excited to tackle the 6 races of World Champs. I’m going to end this post with a puppy photo, because in a few weeks this cute little guy will be coming to the Diggins household. And while he has nothing to do with racing, it’s too cute not to share. A happy skier is a fast skier, so I look at this photo daily. Now you can, too!
